Crispy air fryer chicken sliders recipe Juicy chicken tenders cooked fast in your air fryer Easy meal prep perfect for busy weeknights
Total Time:25 minutes
Yield:6-8 sliders 1x
Ingredients
Scale
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into slider-sized portions
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
6–8 slider buns
Your favorite toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, coleslaw, etc.
Your favorite sauces: mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, honey mustard, etc.
Instructions
Cut the chicken breasts into pieces that will fit nicely on your slider buns. Aim for a size that’s easy to handle and won’t overhang the bun too much. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. In a second shallow dish, place the beaten egg. In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Take each piece of chicken and dredge it in the flour mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Then, dip it in the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it thoroughly in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to help them adhere.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the breaded chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. If necessary, cook in batches. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
While the chicken is cooking, prepare your slider buns with your desired toppings and sauces. Once the chicken is ready, place a piece of chicken on each bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
